Writing Practice

The woman stood on the hill, her gaze focused on the distant horizon.  The sky was a clear blue, the sun high overhead.  A strong breeze caught her from behind, sending loose, blonde hair streaming around her face.  The curve of her back and hips could be seen clearly as the wind flattened her lavender cotton dress against her body.  The hem danced and snapped, revealing bare calves and simple leather sandals.  At her feet, the grass bent nearly flat, and nearby three leaves swirled in an eddy of air.

Intent on watching the distance, her immediate surroundings escaped her notice.  She stood, undeterred from her observation, without raising a hand to tame either tresses or garment.
